Keepsakes of a visit to the Capitol reflected a growing commercial market for souvenirs. This “I Visited Congressman Brown in Washington” bumper sticker is an example of a memento that would be produced cheaply to have on hand for constituents. Visitors could show off their trip to the Capitol at home and to everyone on the road.
