Object Details

This unassuming wooden box holds 27 rubber stamps. Phrases on the stamps include such terms as “Laid on Table Passed in Lieu,” “Passed over without prejudice,” and “Without Amendment Passed.” These obscure-seeming phrases alert clerks to a bill’s status in the House.
