The papers of Charles August Lindbergh contain photocopies of correspondence, legal documents, and newspaper clippings covering the period from 1900-1936, with a few documents from 1951 and 1953, arranged chronologically. Much of the correspondence from 1900 and 1924 is between Charles Lindbergh, his wife Evangeline, and his son Charles A. Lindbergh, Jr. and concerns family matters and Charles Lindbergh's personal finances. Other letters, memoranda, and legal and financial papers relate to Charles Lindbergh's numerous real estate transactions and mortgage holdings, and to his landholdings in Florida and Minnesota, particularly in Morrison County, Minnesota. Letters and articles from the period of Charles Lindbergh's service in the United States House of Representatives (1907-1917) discuss such current issues as the money and banking trusts, progressive Republican philosophy, and World War I. The original papers are at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut.
