The final Congressional Baseball Game played at RFK Stadium took place in 2007. It was the seventh Republican win in a row, bringing their streak closer to the record eleven consecutive wins the team enjoyed in the 1960s and 1970s. While the GOP won the first game played in Nationals Park in 2008, the following year was the beginning of a slump, stalling their streak at eight wins.
