LATCH, Edward G., a House Chaplain; born in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pa., January 14, 1901; A.B., Dickinson College, Carlisle, Pa., 1921; B.D., Drew Theological Seminary, Madison, N.J., 1924; attended Northwestern University, Chicago, Ill.; attended American University, Washington, D.C.; ordained a Methodist minister in 1924; minister; appointed Chaplain of the United States House of Representatives to the Eighty-ninth Congress; elected Chaplain of the United States House of Representatives to the Ninetieth and to the five succeeding Congresses (March 14, 1966–January 3, 1969); died on April 9, 1993, in Gaithersburg, Md.
