Florida State Archives
1933-1975, 14.5 cubic feet.
This series consists of the papers of Millard Fillmore Caldwell from 1933 to 1975. There is personal correspondence, speeches, business, and financial records from 1955 to 1973. These records document Caldwell's activities after his term as Florida Governor (1945-1949). There are also newspaper clippings from 1933 to 1962 on various subjects of interest to Caldwell, including events during his term as Governor. The clippings are pasted in old volumes of the Congressional Record. This illustrates a paper conservation practice, common during this period, of reusing old volumes for scrapbooks.
