BAGBY, Edward B., a House Chaplain; born in King and Queen County, Virginia, September 29, 1865; graduated from Aberdeen Academy, Richmond, Va.; A.B., Transylvania University, Lexington, Ky., 1887; B.D., Yale University, New Haven, Conn., 1890; ordained in the Christian Church in 1890; minister; appointed Chaplain of the United States House of Representatives to the Fifty-third Congress (November 1, 1893–December 2, 1895); died on September 2, 1921, in Washington, D.C.
