CLUSKEY, Michael W., a Postmaster from Georgia; born in Savannah, Chatham County, Ga., 1830; secretary, Democratic National Committee, circa 1856; served in the United States Army; appointed Postmaster of the United States House of Representatives to the Thirty-fifth Congress (December 7, 1857–February 6, 1860); editor, Memphis Avalanche (Tenn.), 1859–1862; served in the Confederate Army; member of the Confederate house of representatives, 1864–1865; editor, Louisville (Ky.) Ledger; board of trustees of the public library, Louisville, Ky.; died on January 13, 1873, in Louisville, Ky.; interment at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Washington, D.C.
