CONWAY, Connie, a Representative from California; born in Bakersfield, Kern County, Calif., September 25, 1950; graduated from San Joaquin Memorial High School, Bakersfield, Calif.; attended College of the Sequoias, Visalia, Calif.; attended California State University, Fresno, Calif.; hospital wellness coordinator; marketing director; corporate district manager; director, Tulare, Calif., redevelopment agency, 1996-2001; member, Tulare County, Calif., board of supervisors, 2001-2008; chair, 2005 and 2008; president, Calif. state association of counties, 2006; member of the California state assembly, 2008-2014; minority leader, 2010-2014; executive director, United States Farm Service Agency, United States Department of Agriculture, 2019-2021; member, Calif. community college board of governors; elected as a Republican to the One Hundred Seventeenth Congress, by special election, to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of United States Representative Devin Nunes (June 7, 2022-present).
