DEAN, Madeleine, a Representative from Pennsylvania; born in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pa., June 6, 1959; graduated from Abington High School, Abington, Pa., 1977; attended Montgomery County College, Blue Bell, Pa.; attended Fels Institute of Government, University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, Pa.; B.A., La Salle University, Philadelphia, Pa., 1981; J.D., Widener University Delaware Law School, Chester, Pa., 1984; lawyer, private practice; faculty, La Salle University, Philadelphia, Pa., 2001-2012; columnist; member of the Pennsylvania state house of representatives, 2012-2018; elected as a Democrat to the One Hundred Sixteenth and to the succeeding Congress (January 3, 2019-present); one of the managers appointed by the House of Representatives in 2021 to conduct the impeachment proceedings of Donald J. Trump, President of the United States.
