Biography

SCOTT, David, a Representative from Georgia; born in Aynor, Horry County, S.C., June 27, 1945; graduated from Campbell High School, Daytona Beach, Fla., 1963; B.A., Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University, Tallahassee, Fla., 1967; M.B.A., Wharton School of Finance, University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, Pa., 1969; business owner; member of the Georgia state house of representatives, 1974-1982; member of the Georgia state senate, 1982-2002; elected as a Democrat to the One Hundred Eighth and to the eight succeeding Congresses (January 3, 2003-present).
