The collection documents the political career of Lynn Stalbaum, especially his campaigns, as well as issues of interest to his constituents. Included are press releases; newsletters; clippings; speeches; campaign materials; photographs; legislative, topical, constituent, and campaign correspondence; statements and testimony before committees; and project files. Of note is a file devoted to Lynn Stalbaum's work as chairman of the "Wisconsin Harriman for President Committee" containing Lynn Stalbaum's correspondence and Averell Harriman campaign material. A series of letters between Mrs. Jaeger of Waterford, Wis., and Wisconsin state senator Lynn E. Stalbaum, Governor Walter J. Kohler, and Clifford L. Lord, in the form of doggerel verse, on the subject of the disposition of the brass cuspidors in the state Capitol, which were being removed in 1955.
