EVERETT, Robert Terry, a Representative from Alabama; born in Dothan, Houston County, Ala., February 15, 1937; graduated from the public schools of Midland City, Ala.; attended Enterprise State Junior College, Enterprise, Ala.; United States Air Force, 1955-1959; journalist; newspaper executive; farmer; contractor; elected as a Republican to the One Hundred Third and to the seven succeeding Congresses (January 3, 1993-January 3, 2009); was not a candidate for reelection to the One Hundred Eleventh Congress in 2008.
