In a rare outdoor portrait, artist Mark Martensen has placed the Armed Services Committee Chairman gesturing from a podium, with San Diego Bay and the USS Ronald Reagan in the background. Hunter was involved in making his California district the aircraft carrier’s home port. Its presence in his portrait provides an apt reminder of his dual role as Chairman of the Armed Services Committee and Representative of his district.
