In his first year in the House, Oklahoma Congressman Jim Jones was on the Democrats’ roster for the Congressional Baseball Game. That year also marked the debut of trading cards for the baseball game, issued by Sears, Roebuck and Co. Each card had the player’s name and district on the reverse side, along with a short description of the game’s history.
