Object Details

For her final campaign, Louisiana Representative Lindy Boggs produced this “We Love Lindy” button. Boggs, who served from 1973 until retiring in 1990, was well-loved in her district. She was initially elected to fill the vacancy left by her husband, Democratic Leader Hale Boggs, after he was killed in a plane crash over Alaska in 1972.
