Object Details

This photo commemorates the Capitol Page’s May 4th luncheon with President and Mrs. Truman. The event is described in detail in The Congressional yearbook, including the menu, which included cream of mushroom soup and fried chicken. The boys were also treated to a viewing of the not-yet-released Randolph Scott Western Badman’s Territory in the White House theater.
