The VIP Original Amateur Hour, staged at Washington’s Constitution Hall in January 1951, provided an opportunity for statesmen from throughout the federal government to put their varied talents to good use in benefit of the U.S.O. House Members here practice their rendition of an aria from the opera Rigoletto, which included the phrase “We’re all from Congress 82 and we wonder what we can do.” The singing Congressmen are (left to right): Toby Morris, Prince Preston, Frank Wilson, Oren Harris, and Percy Priest.
