Charles Wolverton’s path to becoming a New Jersey Representative began with law school, posts as assistant prosecutor and assistant attorney general, and terms in the New Jersey State House of Assembly. A simply painted portrait of Wolverton completed in 1959 by Philadelphia artist Ceasare A. Ricciardi depicts a contented man, reflecting perhaps on his two terms as Chairman of the Committee on Interstate and Foreign Commerce and his impressive total of 32 years of service in the House.
