Glenn Anderson posed for artist Tom Neilson in front of the hearing room dais for his portrait as Chairman of the Public Works and Transportation Committee. The focus of the hearing room in the Rayburn House Office Building is the rostrum from which the Members speak and hear testimony from the witness tables. The chairman sits in the center, behind the carved walnut version of the Great Seal of the United States, flanked by gold-leaf architectural details.
