Robert Roe served as Chairman of the Public Works and Transportation Committee, and this portrait marking his service was unveiled at the close of his House career. Artist George Pollard places Roe against a vaguely sky-like background, with the U.S. Capitol in the lower left. A small lapel pin serves as a reminder of Roe’s New Jersey roots.
