Object Details
Claude Pepper’s portrait was donated by the people of Florida in commemoration of his service on the Rules Committee. This portrait is one of four in the House Collection by Mississippi artist Marshall Bouldin III. Nods to Pepper’s home state of Florida appear in the form of a small palm tree on the desk behind him, as well as the distinctive silhouette of the state on his tie.
