Artist Lloyd Embry used Victor Lallier’s portrait of Wright Patman, from his service as Chairman of the Banking and Currency Committee, as the basis for this image of him. Ironically, this later version commemorates Patman’s much earlier Chairmanship of the Small Business Committee. In it, Patman holds a copy of "Our American Government," his book of answers to 175 questions about how the government developed.
