Collection of the U.S. House of Representatives, Gift of Dr. Alexander C. Cullison
Object Details
Teenager Alexander Cullison kept this well-worn card close by when he served as a Page on the House Floor in the 1960s. It was the key to decoding which Representative needed help with a task. Pages gathered in the rear of the chamber to watch a console that lit up when a Member’s electronic call button was pressed. Cullison used the back of the card to jot down office numbers, probably to help remember where to deliver messages from Representatives to their staffs.
