Object Details

House Doorkeeper James T. Molloy observes the work of two House Pages in this photograph from around 1985. Among the various responsibilities of the Doorkeeper was the supervision of House Pages. Molloy served as the last Doorkeeper of the House, a position which existed from 1789 to 1995. The House Page program ended in 2011, less than two decades later.
