Worn and repaired from frequent use, this three-ring binder functioned as the House reading clerk’s notebook from around 1970 to 2008. While reading aloud the House bills, amendments, and other legislative communications and tracking the status of legislation, the reading clerk kept this notebook on the rostrum. The binder still contains two blank “Reading Clerk’s Daily Work Sheet” pages.
