Before the rise of color advertisements in magazines, all sorts of products—including egg noodles and macaroni—were peddled by way of trade cards. Popular from the late 19th through the early 20th century, trade cards usually included the name of the product, as well as short promotional text and a colorful image. This trade card was one in a series of 48 subjects from around the world.
