On October 30 and 31, 2005, thousands of people paid their respects to civil rights leader Rosa Parks as she lay in honor in the Capitol Rotunda—the first woman so recognized. This bow, along with two banner ribbons, adorned a wreath laid by Congressmen Steny Hoyer and Roy Blunt during this memorial tribute.
