Jack Kemp’s slogan, “It’s our country, let’s help it,” was born of his dedication to advocacy for minorities and the poor. The former Buffalo Bills quarterback served nine terms in Congress. During this time he became, perhaps, better known for his other passion—supply-side economic theory—and the Reagan-era tax cuts he co-authored.
