This Barbara Boxer bumper sticker is typical of congressional campaign stickers in the 1980s: simple and to the point. Boxer’s first congressional campaign slogan was just as direct: “Barbara Boxer Gives a Damn.” She later recalled “I can’t even believe it, that I had the audacity to use this slogan.”
