Jere Cooper’s campaign posters got right to the point, and this version may be the most direct. Unlike typical designs from the first half of the 1900s, there is no image of the candidate, slogan, or variation in color. Over his long career, Cooper famously championed the Tennessee Valley Authority, a federal program that generated electricity for millions of Southerners.
