Object Details

In November 1956, Dalip Saund of California, nicknamed “Judge” because of his prior service in the courts, became the first Asian American elected to serve as a United States Representative. This 1960 campaign handbill not only touts Saund’s qualifications but also includes book reviews for his autobiography, Congressman from India.
