Joseph Talbot and his fellow Connecticut congressional candidate Boleslaus Monkiewicz used the same campaign slogan, “Let’s stop Fumbling!,” in their respective districts during the 1942 campaign. Nutmeg State voters apparently agreed. Republicans ran the table in all six congressional races that year.
