In 1970, these Pages roomed in Mrs. Olive Smith’s boardinghouse while they worked and went to school on Capitol Hill. Throughout the 20th century, Pages tried to find rooms that could accommodate entire groups of friends. “It would be swell if we could have our own fraternity and live together near the Capitol,” one eager 15-year-old Page said.
