Virginia Jenckes, the first Indiana woman to serve in the House of Representatives, produced this button for one of her three re-election bids. Jenckes was an ardent advocate for her constituents, many of whom were farmers affected by the Great Depression. Although she generally supported New Deal programs, she found President Roosevelt too conservative.
