Committee members pose for a group photograph of the 1935 Committee on Military Affairs. John J. McSwain of South Carolina was Chairman of the committee for three Congresses. They met in a hearing room on the third floor of the New House Office Building, which was later to be named after Speaker Nicholas Longworth.
