Workers prepared the Cannon Caucus Room for a hearing on aviation issues in September 1925. Cans of paint, ladders, buckets, scaffolding, and other tools covered much of the floor. Tarps protected the glass shades of the ornate lighting fixtures during the busy transformation. During the hearing, images of airplanes were projected onto a large, specially constructed rectangular frame, which functioned as a movie screen.
