Milton Glenn sent this postcard during his third campaign to represent his New Jersey shore district. The standard portrait photo from the House's photography studio—with the Representative posed on an office set—appeared frequently in Members' materials throughout the 1960s. Realism was not of particular concern, however, as the view of the Capitol from the “window” is in black and white.
