William Hammer sent this postcard to his North Carolina constituents for one of his four re-election campaigns. The message on the reverse promises “equal opportunities to all, favoritism and special privileges to none.” While in Congress, he served on the Committee on the District of Columbia and maintained his ownership of the Asheboro Courier, his hometown newspaper.
