Byron Scott’s 10-point platform was revealed every time a Los Angeles voter opened this 1940 campaign matchbook. On the matchbook's outside, however, the candidate took a simpler approach. The essential information and the dapper Scott's photograph provided the basics. In 1940, he was trying to regain the congressional seat he had lost two years before. This time, too, he was unsuccessful, and took a post with the state highway commission instead.
