William Tyler Page, the Clerk of the House, conferred with Chief Bill Clerk H.J. Hunt about the plethora of bills and resolutions introduced at the 71st Congress' start. These stacks of proposals promised a busy session ahead for the Congress. In contrast to the piles of paper, two tidy volumes were all that remained after the Clerk had organized the previous Congress' work.
