Most tourists wouldn’t be excited about a rainstorm during their visit to Washington. This postcard, however, used a downpour to its advantage. The photographer captured the Capitol dome reflected in a puddle on the East Front of the Capitol, doubling the impact of Washington’s most famous silhouette.
