When Speaker Joe Cannon played dominoes, he meant business. He was even more serious about his tobacco. While in Congress, Cannon was known to visit the National Press Club to chew black cigars and defeat journalists at dominoes weekly. This photograph shows him indulging in his favorite pursuits on his 90th birthday, just four years after retiring from the House.
