This rare metal pull could have been attached to a closet, case, or drawer. It most likely was a component of a piece of furniture built especially for the U.S. Capitol. The large overlapping “H” and “R” together with the “OF” on the face of the knob stands for “House of Representatives.” The style of lettering suggests this was made in the mid-to late 1800s.
