SINNOTT, Joseph J., a Doorkeeper from Virginia; born in Richmond, Va., August 9, 1860; staff, United States House of Representatives Sergeant at Arms; elected Doorkeeper of the U.S. House of Representatives for the Sixty–second Congress and for the succeeding three Congresses (April 4, 1911–May 19, 1919); elected Doorkeeper of the United States House of Representatives for the Seventy–second Congress and for the succeeding six Congresses, until his death on January 27, 1943 (December 7, 1931–January 27, 1943); died on January 27, 1943, in Washington, D.C.
