King of California; staff, Office of the Doorkeeper, United States House of Representatives, circa 1964–1968; assistant manager, Democratic cloakroom, United States House of Representatives; manager, Democratic cloakroom, United States House of Representatives; elected Postmaster of the United States House of Representatives for the Ninety-second Congress and for the ten succeeding Congresses; served until his resignation on March 19, 1992 (July 1, 1972–March 19, 1992).
