MCNULTY, Caleb J., a Clerk from Pennsylvania; born in Washington County, Pa., circa 1816; member of the Ohio state house of representatives, 1841–1842; elected Clerk of the United States House of Representatives to the Twenty-eighth Congress until his dismissal on January 18, 1845 (December 6, 1843–January 18, 1845); unsuccessful candidate for election to the Twenty-ninth Congress in 1844; private in the Ohio Militia in 1846; died in 1846, en route to the Mexican-American War; interment in Helena, Ark.
