Amid the shock of 9/11, the Members and staff of the U.S. House of Representatives were forced to make sense of a world with new challenges and priorities. These interviews reveal how the nation’s legislators addressed the concerns of their constituents and of their country in the period following the attacks. Topics include the mood in the House on September 12th; the effort to help districts and families affected by the attacks; the renewed bipartisanship on Capitol Hill; and the President’s address to the Joint Session on September 20th.
